First few days

- Assign textbooks
- Complete psychology learning inventory
- Save the Last Word on summer reading articles in small groups 5-6 students. One article per group. Students take notes on a 2 column note format. Students share out each discussion and article with the class
- In same small groups, present their summer myth assignments

Day 1 - intro

Classwork: Brief history of psychology powerpoint and notes, chain reaction demo, crash course episode 1 video

–Neuroscience – How does brain anatomy and brain chemistry influence thoughts and behavior?

–Evolutionary – How do behaviors aid in survival and reproduction?

–Cognitive – How do we think about information for memory and problem solving?

–Social-cultural – How does our culture affect us?

–Psychodynamic – how does our unconscious affect us; often relates to sex and parenting.
